1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add spinach to skillet; cover and cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes. 2. Remove cover and stir spinach until leaves are wilted and tender, about 1 minute. Season with allspice, if used, and salt and pepper to taste. Microwave Version: Melt butter in casserole on 100% power for 20 seconds. Add spinach. Cover and microwave on 100% power 1 to 2 minutes, stirring after 1 minute.
